Whether you’re swooping elegantly down the pistes, charging through crud or plunging into backcountry powder, you need a ski that can handle everything the terrain throws at you.
Salomon’s new XDR all-mountain range is designed to tackle all kinds of conditions without compromising on performance. To do this, the company has gone back to first principles.
“The intent of the XDR collection was to put the ‘all-mountain’ back in all-mountain,” says Scott Lumsden, Salomon Product Marketing Manager, Alpine Skis & Bindings. “What we see in the all-mountain category on the market today are wider versions of on-piste skis, which work on hard groomed slopes but truly don’t allow you to explore the full resort.”
The XDR range’s lightweight design makes these skis playful and easy to manoeuvre. A strong composite core gives maximum control when carving the groomers, while a progressive rockered tip makes for easy flotation and adaptation to different terrain.
“We took our patented C/FX technology to a new level to provide the power that you need for groomed slopes and the dampening needed when skiing in mixed snow,” Lumsden explains. “By having a true all-mountain ski, our goal is to amplify the sensations you get from skiing and let skiers have more fun on the mountain.”
Salomon is offering the chance to win a pair of XDR all-mountain skis, in the size of your choice, with bindings included. There are two different waist widths, the XDR 80 Ti (length 155, 162, 169, 176 or 183cm) and XDR 84 Ti (165, 172, 179 or 186cm).
