A day after Dartmouth swept the Eastern Intercollegiate Skiing Associaton Nordic Skiers of the Week honors, the Big Green added another weekly honor with David Domonoske being chosen as the Male Alpine Skier of the Week.
A sophomore from Park City, Utah, Domonoske had two of the best races of his young career at Dartmouth, taking fifth place in the giant slalom and sixth in the slalom at the home carnival last weekend. His time of 2:02.34 in the GS left him less than two-tenths of a second off the podium and matched his highest finish in any race during his first two years with the Green.
His performances produced 76 points for Dartmouth, which won the Dartmouth Winter Carnival for the first time in eight years, topping Vermont by 99 points.
Dartmouth returns to the snow this weekend at the Williams Carnival, which begins Friday morning.
